- Swim lessons and Sports lessons - What is included in today's payment when joining, my first Direct Debit and my ongoing Direct Debit for lessons?If you are joining between 1st and 21st of the month, for example 6th June, you will be paying....
Today you will pay for the remaining lessons in June, one month’s full amount to cover lessons taking place in July and an Admin Fee.
Your first Direct Debit will be collected on 1st July which will pay for lessons taking place in August.
Your Direct Debit will then be collected on the 1st of each month, or the next working day thereafter.
If you are joining between 22nd and the end of the month, for example, 23rd June, you will be paying...

Your Direct Debit will then be collected on the 1st of each month, or the next working day thereafter.Did you find this helpful? - Are there any other benefits to joining swim lessons?All members who have swimming lessons with us can enjoy free public swimming sessions at all centres with pools, all year-round except for Ashby Leisure Centre Lido, Coral Reef Waterworld, Derby Moorways Water Park, Hemel Hempstead Outdoor Pool, Hitchin Outdoor Pool and Letchworth Lido. - Who can join swimming lessons?Our swimming lessons are for everyone, children can start from 4 months old, this is where the parent/guardian accompanies children in the lesson and once they turn 3 years old, they are able to attend lessons independently. There is no upper age limit for those wishing to learn to swim – we offer a range of child and adult lessons to suit all abilities.Did you find this helpful?
- How do I track my swimming lesson progress?Students will follow the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework and awarded badges and certificates for skills and distance swimming. We monitor achievements via Aqua passport, an interactive system that allows swimmers and parents to view progress, play games and collect online trophies. - What are my other swimming lessons options?We offer a full range of other water-based activities as the student’s ability increases – these include Rookie Lifesaver, diving, water polo, and synchronised swimming. - When and how do swimming and diving lessons operate?The swimming and diving lessons take place for 50 weeks of the year, 7 days a week at most centres, with a two week break over the Christmas and New Year period – lessons normally last for 30 minutes with higher stage and adult classes lasting up to 60 minutes including time to take the class register. Students are assessed regularly and moved up as soon as they are ready for the next stage. - What qualifications do the swimming teachers hold?All our swimming teachers are Swim England or equivalent qualified and also hold an enhanced DBS (The Disclosure and Barring Service) check. In addition, our teachers all undergo Safeguarding training.Did you find this helpful?
